Sustainability

Soft comfort that cares for people and the planet

At Happypuddle, we believe gentle luxury should not come at the earth’s expense. Our mission is simple: create beautiful, long-lasting bedding, pillows, blankets and robes that feel wonderful on your skin, while reducing our footprint every step of the way. Sustainability is not a campaign for us — it shapes every choice we make, from fabric selection to packaging and design.

🌿 Thoughtful Materials

We prioritise premium natural cotton blends. That means every fabric is rigorously tested for harmful chemicals, heavy metals and formaldehyde — safe for sensitive skin, children and your home, while lowering toxic runoff into waterways during production.

We avoid unnecessary synthetic fibres wherever possible. We design our prints with water-based, low-impact dyes to cut water pollution and reduce harsh chemical use.

📦 Kind Packaging

We are steadily cutting single-use plastic from our packaging. Your order arrives in FSC-certified recycled cardboard boxes. We use paper tags, paper filler and plastic-free sealing wherever we can. No glossy plastic sleeves, no excess wrapping. Our packaging is recyclable, compostable where possible, and sized to fit each order tightly, to cut down empty space and transport emissions.

🧵 Built to last — less waste

Fast fashion and disposable home textiles burden our planet. Our design philosophy is timeless, not trend-driven. Vintage floral patterns and neutral solid tones are made to stay beautiful year after year. High-quality weaving and durable construction help your linens withstand repeated washes. When you love one set for years, you buy less and waste less.

Our Use & Care guide helps you keep bedding, blankets and robes soft and vibrant for longer.

🤝 Ethical Production

We partner with responsible factories that uphold safe working conditions, fair wages and regulated working hours. We visit our supply chain regularly and prioritise partners who invest in cleaner wastewater treatment and energy-saving production equipment. We value transparency and continue to trace our fibres back to their source.

♻️ Our waste reduction efforts

  • We repurpose fabric offcuts for small accessories, swatch kits and sampling
  • We avoid overproduction and plan seasonal runs carefully to reduce leftover stock
  • We offer clear return pathways and encourage you to pass on clean, usable linens to charity if you no longer need them

🎯 Our ongoing goals

We are on a journey, not perfect yet. Our long-term commitments:

  • Expand our range of organic cotton and recycled fibre blends
  • Eliminate all virgin plastic from packaging
  • Reduce carbon emissions from shipping
  • Publish more detailed supply chain transparency reports

Small ways you can join us

  • Wash your linens on cold cycles and line dry when possible
  • Avoid bleach and harsh fabric softeners
  • Repair, reuse or donate clean linens instead of discarding them
  • Choose timeless styles you will love for many seasons
